(1) General provisions for installation

1. They can be used only if they meet the requirements. The main inspection items include pressure resistance level, outer surface quality, fit quality, material consistency, etc.

2. Corresponding special heating tools should be used according to different interface forms, and open flames must not be used to heat pipes and fittings.

3. Pipes connected by welding should use pipes and fittings of the same grade and material. Those with similar performance must be tested first and qualified before proceeding.

4. Pipes and fittings should be placed at the construction site for a certain period of time before being connected, so that the temperatures of the pipes and fittings are consistent.

5. When making connections in cold climates (below 5 degrees Celsius) and windy conditions, protective measures should be taken or the connection process should be adjusted.

6. The pipe ends should be clean when connecting the pipes, and the pipe openings should be temporarily blocked every time work is completed to prevent debris from entering the pipes.

7. Appearance inspection should be carried out after the pipeline is connected. If it fails, it will be reworked immediately.

(2) Electrofusion connection: first put the electrofusion pipe fitting on the pipe, and then use a special welding machine to energize the electrofusion pipe fitting according to the specified parameters (time, voltage, etc.), so that the inner part of the electrofusion pipe fitting with embedded electric heating wire The surface and the outer surface of the pipe insertion end melt, and after cooling, the pipe and fitting are fused together. It is characterized by convenient and quick connection, good joint quality, and little interference from external factors. However, the price of electrofusion pipe fittings is several to dozens of times that of ordinary pipe fittings (the smaller the diameter, the greater the difference).

Inspect, cut pipes, clean joints, insert pipe fittings into pipes, calibrate, energize welding, and cool

(1) Pipe cutting: The connecting end of the pipe needs to be cut vertically to ensure sufficient hot melt area. Commonly used cutting tools include rotary cutters, bow saws, plastic pipe scissors, etc.; high temperatures are not allowed during cutting to avoid high temperature deformation.

(2) Clean the joint part and mark the insertion depth line: Use fine sandpaper, a scraper, etc. to scrape off the oxide layer on the surface of the pipe, use a clean cotton cloth to wipe away the dirt on the connecting surface of the pipe and fittings, and mark the insertion depth line.

(3) Insert the pipe fitting into the pipe: Insert the electrofusion pipe fitting into the pipe to the specified depth, and connect the welding machine and the pipe fitting.

(4) Correction: Adjust the position of the pipe and pipe fittings so that the pipes and pipe fittings are on the same axis to prevent eccentricity from causing weak joint welding and poor air tightness.

(5) Electrical welding: The time and voltage of electric heating should comply with the regulations of the electrofusion welding machine and the electrofusion pipe fitting manufacturer to ensure that the welding joint is obtained under the supply voltage and heating time.

(6) Cooling: Since PE pipe joints can only reach their compressive strength after they are completely cooled to normal temperature. During the cooling period, other external forces will prevent the pipes and fittings from maintaining the same axis, thus affecting the welding quality.
